三種鱗魨褐擬鱗魨(Balistoides viridescens)、毒吻棘魨( Rhinecanthus verrucosus)與尖吻棘魨(Rhinecanthus aculeatus)幼體日間活動與棲地利用之研究

  為了解珊瑚礁區潮間帶及亞潮帶魚類日間活動與棲地利用,於墾丁國家公園核能第三發電廠入水口為實驗地,褐擬鱗魨(Balistoides viridescens)、毒吻棘魨(Rhinecanthus verrucosus)、尖吻棘魨 (Rhinecanthus aculeatus) 為材料進行觀察;記錄日間上午、中午與下午不同時段的活動、棲地內底質種類、面積與使用頻度,主要結論如下:

 (1).樣區中的潮間帶為珊瑚礁岩,亞潮帶為沙泥底,褐擬鱗魨與另一屬的毒吻棘魨、尖吻棘魨二者使用棲地不同,前者棲居於淺亞潮帶沙泥底混合石塊、珊瑚、藻類的底質,後二者漲潮則遷往珊瑚礁岩和退潮返回沙泥底。

 (2).三種魨的覓食活動皆是上午為覓食高峰時段,褐擬鱗魨徘徊時間以下午較多,游動與社群活動不會因時段不同而有差異。

 (3).褐擬鱗魨覓食利用的底質主要是藻類與石塊,而以軸孔珊瑚( Acropora spp.)為躲藏處,徘徊並沒有利用特定的底質,毒吻棘魨、尖吻棘魨主要利用珊瑚礁岩覓食。

 (4).毒吻棘魨、尖吻棘魨在珊瑚礁岩的覓食時間較沙泥底區域長,符合潮間帶魚類在漲潮時返回潮間帶是食物因子吸引的說法。

 (5).毒吻棘魨、尖吻棘魨遷移群的個體覓食活動受時段與底質種類影響,在早上平均覓食時間較下午多,在珊瑚礁岩處較沙泥底多。

 (6).褐擬鱗魨與毒吻棘魨、尖吻棘魨覓食行為不同,前者覓食時間較後兩者長,後兩者間無差異。


Diurnal activities and habitat utilization of three young balistides(Balistoides viridescens、Rhinecanthus verrucosus and Rhinecanthus aculeatus)

  The diurnal activities and habitat utilization of intertidal and subtidal fishes Balistoides viridescens、 Rhinecanthus verrucosus and Rhinecanthus aculeatus on the intake channel of the Nuclear Power PlantⅢ at Kenting were studied. Their activities were recordered on video in the morning, noon and afternoon. The area and frequences of utilization of four substrates were also investigated. Results are outlined as follows:

 (1).In the study site, the substrate of intertidal zone is dead-coral, and that of subtidal zone is sand, on which some rocks,corals and algaes scatter. B. viridescens lives in subtidal sandy substrate. The habitat of R. verrucosus and R. aculeatus is different from that of B. viridescens. They migrate to intertidal dead-coral zone at high tide, and return to subtidal sandy zone at low tide.

 (2).The time spent on feeding of these three balistid species in the morning is higher than at noon and in the afternoon. Hovering time of B. viridescens at afternoon is higher than that of the other two periods. Swimming time and social acctivities frequency are not sigificantly different among these three periods.

 (3).B. viridescens utilizes algaes and rocks as its major feeding substrate and coral(Acropora spp. ) as shelter, but don't use any perticular substrate for hovering. R. verrucosus and R. aculeatus utilize dead-coral for feeding.

 (4).The phenomenon, that feeding activity of R. verrucosus and R. aculeatus on dead-coral is higher than on sand, match as the point that food attract some fishes to intertidal zone at high tide.

 (5).Feeding activities of R. verrucosus and R. aculeatus were influenced by time of the day and substrate type.

 (6).The feeding behavior of B. viridescens is different that of R. verrucosus and R. aculeatuswere, and the percentage of feeding time of the former is higher than that of the latter two.
